  I am a Perthshire based Scot and I have many years experience of training German Shepherd Dogs and other breeds.

I had my first dog at the age of 14 and I can not remember ever being without one in my life.

In my Training methods I do not believe in giving dogs only human type commands, instead I use their own natural instincts and pack behaviour to modify their actions, so that they fit in more comfortably with our wishes as human beings, but without robbing the dog of it's canine identity.
 
In all cases I use positive reinforcement dog training, in which any good behaviour by the dog is rewarded by our affection and love. But if the dog acts in an inapropriate way then it is corrected in a natural way.

The Service I Offer 

Is a lifestyle plan for your dog which begins with a visit to your home so that I can observe your dog, it’s behaviour and the interaction between you both in your everyday environment.

During this visit I will explain the concepts of pack behaviour and leadership.

I will observe and discuss with you the problems that you are having and I will explain to you the reason these problems are occurring and more importantly I will suggest a way of putting them right. This initial visit will continue until you feel confident that you can implement the suggestions given.

Written instructions will be provided at this initial visit and a specific action plan will be put in place, as will the need of any further visits.

This initial consultation charge is set at a very reasonable rate of £30.00, however if outwith  20 miles of Perth there will also be a small mileage charge. The hourly charges for further visits will be discussed at the initial visit.

There will be reduced rates for anyone needing help with a dog adopted from Second Chances for German Shepherd Dogs.
